If you’ve been following me for a bit, you’ve probably heard me say your website isn’t about you. It’s about your perfect client.
This is an extremely powerful way of positioning your website. And it’s one of the ways you get away from what I call the “useless, online brochure” type of site.
That means you need to tell your site visitor what they can expect when they work with you. So yes, you have to make a promise. But there’s a right way, and a wrong way to do this.
And that brings me to Health Coach Website Mistake #11…
This is the website that promises great results, but doesn’t back them up. Remember Mistake #10 about your site visitor’s B.S. detector?
It’s not enough to just disable it … you also have to back your claim.
So how do you back up the results you promise? One great way is to use case studies and testimonials! Both of these show people the kind of results that are possible if they work with you. Ideally, you’ll get some of your clients to shoot video testimonials. But written is fine, too.
The other way to back up what you say is with your Signature System. Your Signature System can help show people how you will get them results. This works best if you have a unique approach that sets you apart.
And of course, if you have any scientific evidence that backs up your approach, you can find a way to talk about it on your site, too. Just keep it simple and don’t get to “science-y.”
